Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This policy explains how Chofex handles personal information provided for the Chofex Hackathon. You must accept this policy to submit an application.

Information collected

During application and participation, Chofex may collect:

How information is used

Chofex uses this information to:

Media consent

Consent to appear in event photography or recordings is optional. Declining media consent does not prevent you from applying. Organizers will use reasonable efforts to honor your choice, but cannot control incidental capture by other participants or people outside the event team.

Sharing

Information is available only to organizers and service providers who need it for the purposes above. Chofex does not sell personal information. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect a person's safety, rights, or security.

Storage and protection

Chofex uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Sensitive identification information submitted after acceptance is encrypted. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for event operations, safety, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymized when practical.

Your choices

You may ask an organizer through an official Chofex communication channel to help you access, correct, or delete your information, subject to legal and operational requirements. You may decline optional fields and media consent where the registration flow identifies them as optional.

Changes

This policy may be updated as event operations or legal requirements change. The current version and its update date will remain available on this page.

Read the Terms and Code of Conduct that apply to event participation.
