Terms and Code of Conduct

These terms apply to participation in the Chofex Hackathon in Lima, Peru. You must accept them to submit an application.

Participation terms

By registering, you agree that:

Code of Conduct

Chofex is committed to a welcoming, respectful, and harassment-free event for everyone, regardless of identity, background, experience, or ability.

Expected behavior

Unacceptable behavior

Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, stalking, unwanted sexual attention, deliberate disruption, and abusive or demeaning language are not permitted. Retaliation against someone who raises a concern is also prohibited.

Enforcement

Organizers may investigate reported behavior and take any action reasonably needed to protect participants. Actions may include a warning, removal from an activity or the event, rejection of an application, or referral to venue security or local authorities when appropriate.

Projects and third-party services

You keep ownership of work you create, subject to the rights of your teammates and any licenses attached to tools, datasets, or other materials you use. You are responsible for following applicable laws and third-party terms.

Event changes

Event details may change for operational, safety, or other reasonable causes. Organizers will communicate material changes through official Chofex channels when practical.

Contact a Chofex organizer through the event's official communication channel. If someone is in immediate danger, contact venue security or local emergency services first.
